FREE Demo Classes in Avalon, NJ
At Island Aerobics in Avalon, NJ, CaRu's founder and artistic director, will be hosting FREE demo classes at the following times:Saturday June 5th: 10-11 am
Monday June 14th: 7-8 pm
Tuesday June 15th: 11:30 am-12:30 pm
Wednesday June 16th: 7-8 pm

Cassie to Choreograph for Pop Act Alex Allen
After returning from LA, Cassie has immediately jumped back into life in NYC.This week Cassie begins rehearsals for her newest gig as choreographer for Alex Allen's summer tour promoting his debut EP, Radio Killer. Cassie's eccentric and captivating dance style marries well with Alex's cutting edge music and theatrical stage presence. Described as a mix between 1980's David Bowie with some Katy Perry, and Gaga, with a hint of Depeche Mode, his high-energy shows promise to get people moving with everything from neon-lights to hot dancers.
Radio Killer is scheduled to be released on July 27.

CaRu Entertainment Seeking Summer Intern
CaRu Entertainment, a fast-paced and rapidly growing company, is seeking an unpaid summer intern to start ASAP.
CaRu is a full service entertainment company, focused primarily on dance and production. CaRu, owned and directed by professional dancer and choreographer Cassie Russo, is based out of New York City.
The summer intern is responsible for a multitude of tasks including, but not limited to, day-to-day office management, scheduling, answering/rolling calls and maintaining overall organization of company materials. Other duties as assigned. Ability to work in high-energy, demanding atmosphere is a MUST.
Candidate must be out-going and motivated with superior writing skills and computer knowledge. Previous administrative experience in an office setting and proficiency in Windows and MAC preferred. Understanding of the dance industry and ability to do hair/make-up are a bonus.
Must be able to commit to at least 2 to 3 days per week in Avalon, NJ. This is a great opportunity for dancers interested in the behind-the-scenes of dance production, and may lead to opportunities beyond the summer season.

Vixens Co-Captains Celebrate Captain Morgan's Birthday
Shannon and Megan, 2010 Vixens Dance Team Co-Captains, were invited to celebrate Captain Morgan's 375th Birthday at Mad River in Philadelphia on Saturday.The celebration in the city that spawned the nation was one of many hosted by Maxim Magazine across the country. In honor of the epic event, a special birthday cake featuring a visage of the iconic Captain Morgan created by Buddy Valastro and his team at Carlo's Bakery (setting of the hit TV show "Cake Boss") was unveiled during the party.
